Nestlé employees and their families gathered in 66 locations worldwide at the weekend to remove plastic waste from local water bodies, to mark World Ocean Day.
According to a statement, the employees' children present at the events participated in educational programmes on environmental and wildlife conservation, as well as learning more about recycling.
Plastic Waste
Plastic waste is one of the world's most pressing environmental issues.
Nestlé aims to play an active roll in changing behaviour through clean up initiatives and other activities.
It also plans to raise public awareness about reducing plastic waste and the importance of recycling.
The measures formed part of Nestlé's broader vision to achieve a waste-free future.
