The world's largest food trade fair, Anuga, has reported 'very good registration figures' for its upcoming 2021 event, which is set to be held October 9-13 at Koelnmesse.
Following the expiry of the 'early bird' phase, Anuga reported that eight of its ten trade shows are completely booked up, while exhibitors from 83 countries have registered so far.
In addition, Anuga 2021 is seeking to trade new paths, by rolling out a hybrid format for the first time, through the Anuga@home digital element.
This format will ensure that industry participants from around the world can exchange ideas either at the trade show in Cologne or digitally, via a newly-developed platform.
Meeting Point
"These developments are making us feel very positive and confirm the central significance Anuga plays as the international industry meeting point of the year for the food and beverage industry," commented Stefanie Mauritz, director, Anuga. "The current coverage on the vaccinations is also giving us confidence that Anuga will take place in a physical form in 2021.
"Even if the coming Anuga will no doubt take on a slightly different appearance compared to the previous years, the good booking status is proving that the industry wants a physical trade fair and that the need for a personal exchange and the desire for product innovations is greater than ever."
