Around 80% Of Space Already Booked For ISM 2021, Organisers Say

Trade show ISM, which takes place at Koelnmesse, Germany, from 31 January to 3 February 2021, has reported that around 80% of its event space is already booked.

Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, extra protection and hygiene measures are seen as an 'important pillar' for the success of ISM, along with ProSweets Cologne (which is being staged parallel), with both trade fairs aligned to the #B-SAFE4business concept developed by Koelnmesse.

This includes, among other things, continuous online ticketing with complete registration, significantly wider aisles, extensive hygiene measures and the obligation to wear a nose and mouth mask in all sections, except when seated at the stands or in the foodservice area.

Elsewhere, Koelnmesse has also launched the #B-SAFE4businessVillage, which will aim to give exhibitors of upcoming trade fairs an idea of how such events can be made possible during the coronavirus crisis, under observance of hygiene and safety distance regulations.

Supporting Measures

"We will act in line with the needs of the respective industry for each individual event," said Oliver Frese, executive director and chief operating officer of Koelnmesse. "All of these measures support our customers in being able to plan and realise their trade fair appearance as efficiently as possible in spite of the current challenges."

A new digital tool, Matchmaking 365+, will provide companies exhibiting at ISM with additional digital opportunities for establishing contacts and networking with customers. This will include product presentations, video content and other information in the digital 'Exhibitor Showrooms'.

Access to the digital trade fair platform is free of charge for registered exhibitors, trade visitors and media representatives.
