Bakery firm Aryzta has announced the appointment of Chris Plüss as the chief operating officer of its APMEA (Asia Pacific/Middle East/Africa) division.
He will assume the new role in early June and replace the outgoing COO of APMEA, Rob O’Boyle.
Presently, Plüss serves as the company's regional managing director for Southern Europe, responsible for Switzerland, France, and Hungary.
In 2014, he joined Aryzta as the managing director of its Swiss operations, and was promoted to his present role in March 2018.
Extensive Experience
Plüss has extensive experience in the food industry and has worked with Unilever, Haco Group, and Fressnapf/Maxizoo before joining the bakery giant.
Commenting on the appointment, Aryzta Group CEO, Kevin Toland, said, "I am delighted to welcome Chris to his new role as COO APMEA and as a member of Aryzta's group executive team.
"He has a proven track record in Aryzta and strong commercial, business development, and leadership skills."
