Carrefour France has today (March 9) begun its 2016 beauty sale, which will run until 21 March, as part of its ‘j’optimisme’ promotional drive, with increased spending per transaction forecast.
According to Lsa-Conso.fr, Kantar Worldpanel suggests that the average amount of money spent per transaction will be approximately €15 as opposed to €10, which has been the norm for the event in recent years. The sale features price cuts on brands such as Maybelline, L’Oréal, Nivea, Philips, Schwarzkopf, Dove, and Sanex.
Kantar also says that the majority of consumers will buy items which are part of the promotion as well as items which are not, i.e., products in non-beauty categories.
