French agro-industrial company Avril has announced the appointment of Olivier Delamea as the new general manager of its plant transformation group.
Delamea has been the general manager of the groups’ oils and condiments business since April 2017.
Managing director of the Avril group, Jean-Philippe Puig said, "This development illustrates a reinforced convergence between activities that are naturally very similar, in line with the strategy of the industry that has governed the destiny of our Group since its creation.”
The new position represents an additional responsibility for Delamea, along with his role in Avril's oils and condiments business.
An Industry Veteran
Delamea held various marketing, sales and general management positions with Danone over a 24-year period, before joining the Avril group.
He led the development of Danone’s iconic brands in fresh daily products, infant food and biscuits.
As a member of the boards of directors of ANIA, Ilec and Eco-Emballages, he contributed to a number of major projects for the French agri-food sectors.
He is also a member of the executive committee of the Avril Group.
He succeeds Jean-Baptiste Bachalerie, who is moving on as the managing director of the CREADEV Innovation division, the strategic investment company of the Mulliez family.
