Food manufacturer Bakkavor Group has announced the closure of its Freshcook meals facility in Holbeach St Marks, in Lincolnshire in eastern England.
The food group has offered alternative operational roles in nearby facilities to all employees who receive weekly wages.
It is also attempting to relocate other employees within the Bakkavor Group.
Consultation Period
The decision follows the completion of a consultation period, during which the management reviewed a number of different options to improve the performance of the loss-making site.
The facility will cease operations from 29 April 2019.
In March, the company posted a 2.2% increase in group revenue for fiscal year 2018.
