Italian food company Barilla has entered the jams market under its Mulino Branco private-label brand for Esselunga.
The Incontri range is part of a pilot project launched exclusively with the Italian supermarket chain, reports the Foodweb.
The product is available in three variants: Fragola (63.6% strawberry, pear and chocolate); Mirtilli (73.2% blueberry, raspberry, and lemon zest); and Albicocche (55.4% apricot, figs, and almonds).
The jams have a high fruit content, are free of aromas, additives, preservatives, hydrogenated fats, and GMOs, in line with the philosophy of the Mulino Bianco brand.
The Incontri jam SKUs are also available for home delivery as part of the 'Esselunga a Casa' online service, the report added.
