Pasta produced by Italian food company Barilla has finally arrived in supermarkets across Russia’s Ural region.
According to the Italian Foreign Trade Institute, this follows last year’s opening of Barilla’s second production line in the city of Solnechnogorsk, in the Moscow Region. On the location, Barilla produces various types of pasta as well as bread for long-life toast.
The 'Harry’s CIS' factory in Solnechnogorsk is part of Barilla Group. Last year, a new past production line was put into operation. Investment in the new production exceeded RUB 1 billion.
In Russia, as well as Solnechnogorsk, Barilla also has a production site in Ufa, in the Bashkortostan Republic. The total production volume amounts to 2.5 million tons per year.
