Italian confectionery group Bauli has launched a new range of sweet and savoury products for consumers with allergies or intolerances.
The range, comprising 36 gluten-free SKUs, will be distributed for the first time under the Bauli (sweet) and Doria (savoury) brands in pharmacies, parapharmacies and specialised stores.
The new products, including chocolate and lemon cakes, plum-cakes, bread and gluten-free pasta, have been created exclusively for coeliac sufferers, or those with intolerance to milk and lactose.
Acquisition
The project is rooted in the acquisition of a majority stake in AlpiPan by Bauli, in 2018.
AlpiPan is an Italian company dedicated exclusively to the production of gluten-free baked goods.
The group offers a wide range of products in this segment, characterised by maximum attention to the quality of raw materials and production processes.
AlpiPan will distribute the two new lines throughout Italy, with a dedicated sales force in place to service pharmacies and specialist stores.
