French processed vegetables firm Bonduelle is on course to achieve growth for its 2015-16 financial year following the publication of third-quarter growth of three per cent, in which the company recorded turnover of €471.8 million.
The performance brings its turnover for the first nine months of the fiscal year to €1.483 billion. Its Q3 growth stands at 0.4 per cent when currency-value fluctuations are computed.
The food multinational improved most strongly outside of Europe – particularly in the US and Canada – where it grew by 12 per cent compared to the third quarter of its previous fiscal year. This figure was tempered somewhat by Bonduelle’s Russian arm, owing to the rouble’s fall in value.
The company noted a disparity in performance within the EU, which disimproved slightly, between its branded products, which grew in value, and its private label products, which fell in value as a byproduct of price wars.
