Bottled Water Jana Named 'Number One' Brand In Croatia

Bottled water brand Jana, developed by Agrokor Group, has been named the 'strongest brand' in Croatia, according to research by marketing consultancy Valicon.

The brand also commands tenth position in the Valicon Top 25 list, which measures the biggest brands in five Adriatic markets: Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Macedonia. It is the only bottled water brand to appear on this list.

Ranking on the list is determined by brand recognition by consumers, their experience and the usage of a brand within a certain category.

“This truly is an exceptional recognition for Jana, because it was given by consumers," said Iva Balent, Executive director of corporate marketing for the Agrokor Group.

"Our team invests a lot of effort and energy, all the way from the first steps in production […] to store positions, marketing campaigns and communication with our customers. Recognitions such as this one are proof that the consumers acknowledge all of this."

Agrokor Group launched a new brand communication programme for Jana in 2013, which the group sees as having been instrumental to its success.
