British soft drinks maker Britvic has announced the appointment of Sudeep Shetty as its new group chief information officer.
The move is a part of the company’s strategic investment in technology to transform the business and its supply chain.
In his new role, Shetty will focus on a series of transformational programmes, including end-to-end supply chain digitisation.
He will also oversee projects to automate and strengthen Britvic’s commercial planning, procurement process and customer engagement, the company added.
An Accomplished Professional
Shetty is an accomplished professional with extensive retail and consumer-facing experience gathered during his stints at Marks & Spencer, Selfridges and Jack Wills.
Currently, he serves as the chief technology officer of Britvic and is well placed to lead the company’s global technology, data and analytics function to new heights.
Commenting on his new role, Shetty said, "This year has seen consumers increasingly shopping online and everyone demanding more from digital.
"While the pandemic may well have accelerated these trends, they are only set to continue, making this the perfect time to innovate and invest ahead of the curve. Therefore, this is an especially exciting time to take on this new role."
He succeeds Steve Potts, who has assumed the role of managing director of Britvic’s Beyond the Bottle Innovation division.
