Italian coffee company Caffè Vergnano has recorded a 7% annual growth in turnover during the first six months of 2017, reports Ansa.
Contributing to the positive result was a 6.5% increase in sales in the HoReCa segment to €14.5 million, and a 5% growth in exports to €8.7 million, with e-commerce sales more than doubling.
Caffè Vergnano is based in Santena near Turin, but exports its products to over 90 countries.
Continued Growth
In the first half of 2017, the company expanded its presence in new markets in Southeast Asia, and consolidated its presence in Europe, where France, Germany, Greece and Poland remain the most important markets.
There has also been growth in the company's Caffè Vergnano 1882 project, a chain of cafes launched in 2001, which has now expanded to over 130 premises.
In addition, the company recently launched its Cold Brew iced coffee range in time for summer.
