Campbell Soup Company has announced Roberto Leopardi as president of its Campbell Meals & Beverages division.
Leopardi, 53, will report to Luca Mignini, chief operating officer. His role with the soups and meals giant will commence on June 4, 2018.
He will be in charge of leading Campbell’s North American soup, sauces and shelf-stable beverages brands, as well as Pacific Foods and Plum.

Commenting, Luca Mignini said, “Roberto brings extensive consumer-packaged goods industry experience, where he has built, grown and transformed global businesses.
“He will offer a fresh perspective to the division that is home to many of our iconic brands. Roberto will play a critical role in delivering against our strategic priorities of stabilising and then sustaining strong financial results for this important Campbell division.”
Leopardi joins Campbell from SC Johnson, where he spent 24 years working with the company across its global landscape. He was most recently its vice president of North America marketing, which was responsible for driving sales and market share growth for SC Johnson’s portfolio of brands in the US and Canada.
Campbell Soup Co recently announced that its CEO, Denise Morrison abruptly stepped down after seven years at the helm. Migini was only appointed as COO in early April.
