Italian dairy products producer Centrale del Latte d’Italia has reported a turnover of €45.4 million during Q3 2017, almost twice that (+98%) of the same period last year, following its merger with Centrale del Latte di Firenze.
On a like-for-like basis, the growth was 14%.
For the first nine months of 2017, consolidated net revenue reached €136 million (+89% year-on-year), an increase of 6% on a LFL basis.
The group said that there were 'significant signs of growth' during Q3 2017, as a result of a positive reaction by customers for new products, good export recovery, and price adjustments.
A new, completely automated 700-square-metre warehouse for the storage and shipping of finished products was inaugurated at the Centrale del Latte di Vicenza plant last month.
Building For Growth
Centrale del Latte d’Italia expects that the positive economic performance is likely to continue in Q4, thanks to activities undertaken to safeguard the premium positioning of the brands, the ongoing control of costs and an improvement underway in the Italian economy.
Centrale del Latte d’Italia is the third player in the Italian fresh and long-life milk market, with leadership positions in the Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany and Veneto regions. It produces and sells more than 120 products, ranging from milk and milk products to yogurt, drinks of plant origin and fresh salads, distributed under the brand names TappoRosso, Mukki, Tigullio and Vicenza and sold both in traditional shops and large retail chains.
