Agri-food company Cerealto Siro has announced that Xavier Orriols and José Miguel Isidro will join its board of advisors to help the company consolidate its position as a leading manufacturer of food products across the world.
Orriols was PepsiCo’s president for Europe and Africa, while Isidro was the president of the packaging company, Europac.
The board comprises vice-president, Lucía Urbán; CEO Luis Ángel López; managing partner of DJV Abogados, Pedro Navarrete González-Bueno; founder and managing partner at Nexe Group, Jordi Vilà i Bosch; and the managing partner at ASTI-Consulting and former CEO of Renault-Consulting, Antonio J Fernández Álvarez.
The president of Cerealto Siro Foods, Juan Manuel González Serna is the president of the board.
An Industry Veteran
Orriols is an industry veteran who spent 30 years with the cola giant.
He held various top roles in the organisation during this period and was instrumental in bringing about various organisational changes.
Presently, he is an advisor with Idilia Foods, senior advisor at Deloitte, and the vice-president of Ecoembes.
He was an advisor to the Spanish Food and Drink Industry Federation (FIAB) and the Association of Manufacturers and Distributors (AECOC).
He was also the president of the Multisectoral Association for Large Food and Drink Companies, and of the Alimentum Foundation.
An Experienced Professional
Isidro is a businessman and an economist who serves as an advisor for different companies, including financial institutions.
He has more than 40 years of experience in the industry sector, with around 20 years at Europac.
He was the president of the company since its foundation until this year, where he led the strategy that transformed the regional packaging enterprise to a multinational company.
He was also the president of the Association for Family-owned Business in Castile and Leon, and has also been a member of the Institute of the family-owned Business.
Cerealto Siro Foods is a multinational producer of cereal-based food products, which posted a turnover of €600 million in 2018.
Recently, the company launched its first snack that was developed with the help of the AI tool, IBM Watson.
