Coop in Sweden has announced the finalists for its environment-focused Änglamark prize.
The award program, which was founded by the retailer in 2002, seeks to highlight and encourage those making contributions to the environment.
One of the four finalists for the prize - Barista, Way Out West, Anna-Kaisa Lidell and Örebro Municipality will be announced as the overall winner on 25 August. The award ceremony will be held at Skansen in Stockholm on 1 September in conjunction with the consumer association's Family Day.Coop's customers began nominating individuals and companies during the spring.
The four finalists are:
Barista - Scandinavia's first ethical coffee chain. Way Out West - a music festival with an environmental focus in everything they do.Anna-Kaisa Lidell - a food innovator and development strategist.Örebro Municipality - which has created the platform 'Smarter food' in order to reduce food waste.
