Cooperl, an agrifood cooperative which supplies many of the leading French supermarket chains including Carrefour and Auchan, is to launch a range of new welfare-friendly pâtés, lsa-conso.fr reports.
The higher-end products will appear under its brand Brocéliande. This follows the France-wide rollout of Brocéliande antibiotic-free hams, sausages, and bacon lardons.
Within the brand, the four products fall under the newly created ‘Bien élevés’ line. This is comprised of its ‘Countryside Pâté’, ‘Pepper Terrine’, a 100-per-cent-French pork-liver pâté, and a mousse de canard of guaranteed French origin.
The antibiotic-free products will appear in French supermarkets from October 2015 onward.
