LSA and Toluna have collaboratively carried out research on French consumers’ favourite chocolate brands.
The work, which was done with Easter in mind, shows that over 80 per cent of people in France purchase chocolate at least once a month, and that after fruit, bread and pasta, chocolate is the FMCG they cannot pass by on a shelf without picking up.
The research also revealed discrepancies in different demographics’ tastes in chocolate, with Kinder, Nutella, and Milka the brands preferred by people between 18 and 34 years of age; Côte d’Or, Milka, and Nutella with people aged between 35 and 54; and Côte d’Or, Lindt, and Suchard with people 55 or older.
Côte d’Or remains France’s best-liked chocolate brand overall.
