Croatian retail and food conglomerate Agrokor has announced the appointment of Dario Šalić as the new chief executive of its Jamnica mineral water business.
The move follows the resignation of Mislav Galić as the CEO of the firm.
Beverage Experience
Šalić has close to two decades' worth of experience in the beverages industry, having previously held a number of positions with Coca-Cola in Croatia, as regional director of sales at InBev Zagrebačka pivovara, and as the director of the Heineken business in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Most recently, he was employed as director of the HoReCa business of Atlantic Grupa in all markets of the former Yugoslavia.
According to an Agrokor statement, 'During his career [Šalić] was especially focused on sales, operational business, managing finances and human resources as well as building a corporate culture based on innovation and sustainable development. He plans to honour these values in his management of Jamnica d.d. in the future.'
In early 2017, Agrokor was reportedly eyeing the potential sale of Jamnica to Coca-Cola, as a result of its financial difficulties.
