French dairy company Danone has appointed Laurent Boissier as its new general manager for the fresh milk sector in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Greece. Wirtschaft Zeit reports that Boissier succeeded Albert Ragon at the beginning of July.
Prior to this appointment, Boissier held several positions at Danone. He began working as the company’s strategic planning director in 2002, before becoming marketing director at Danone Benelux in 2004, and general manager in the fresh milk sector at Danone Thailand in 2007. From 2014 onwards, he has held the position of general director at Danone Turkey.
New Appointments
Elsewhere, Danone’s former sales director Remco Louwers has been appointed as country manager for Germany. In the newly created position, Louwers will be responsible for Danone’s sales and organisation, having had long-standing experience in the FMCG sector.
In addition, Karim Chaouch has been appointed as country manager for Austria, Slovenia, and Switzerland. Chaouch has been working in various sales positions at Danone since 2000, before his appointment as general manager for Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia in 2014.
