German dairy company Deutsche Milchkontor (DMK) has announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Bahlsen to introduce a new winter ice cream, 'Zimtstern'.
The move aims to cater to the increasing demand for ice creams in the run-up to Christmas.
Stefanie Böhm, senior brand manager for Bahlsen, said, "Our broad portfolio offers every consumer his favourite winter pastries of the highest quality. For this reason, we are one of the most important brands in the run-up to Christmas."
The product combines bourbon vanilla ice cream with a hint of cinnamon, fine hazelnut ice cream, and mini cinnamon biscuits.
'New Product Experiences'
Böhm added, "From a brand perspective, it is important to constantly [...] offer the consumer new product experiences. The new Bahlsen winter ice cream reinterprets the popular Bahlsen cinnamon stars and provides ideal conditions for this."
'Zimtstern' ice cream is available in retail outlets in 500ml beakers, DMK Group said in its statement.
In the spring of 2019, DMK and Bahlsen joined forces to launch the 'Ohne Gleichen' and 'Messino' ice creams.
The initiative was part of DMK Group's reorientation strategy aimed at expanding its ice cream business.
