Italian confectioner Ferrero announced on Monday that an affiliate entity had completed the acquisition of Belgian company Delacre, manufacturer of Delacre and Délichoc biscuit brands.
The company purchased the biscuit maker from United Biscuits, part of global Turkish confectionery company Yildiz.
As part of the agreement, Ferrero's affiliate will take over all production facilities and will keep the current management and staff in place.
The company announced that Jérôme Grégoire had been named managing director of Delacre.
He commented:"I am delighted to join Delacre as managing director at this exciting time. As an iconic manufacturer of fine biscuits with a rich heritage and an established player in Belgium and France, Delacre is in a great position to build on and further expand its offering."
The acquisition was originally announced in mid-November.
