Italian confectionery group Ferrero plans to launch Kinder Ice Cream on the Italian market by the end of February, reports Gdonews.
The Kinder Bueno Ice Cream Cone, the Kinder Ice Cream Stick and the Kinder Ice Cream Sandwich have achieved resounding success in France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where they have been available since last year, the company said.
The ice creams were borne out of a collaboration between Ferrero and Dutch multinational Unilever: Ferrero provides the Kinder brand, while Unilever produces the ice cream and is responsible for marketing the new products.
A wide-ranging advertising campaign is to support the launch and events are to be organised in Turin, Milan and Naples to engage consumers.
According to Ferrero, the ice cream range is produced in full compliance with high quality standards and contains Kinder's distinctive ingredients.
