French food company Fleury Michon has reported a dip in operating income for the first half of 2016 of 13 per cent to €13.3 million, though its net profit increased by 8.5 per cent for the six-month period, reaching €8.9 million.
The €8.9 million consolidated net profit contrasts with the figure for H1 2015 of €8.2 million.
Revenue for 2016 H1 was about €372 million, marking a like-for-like fall of 0.7 per cent, UndercurrentNews.com reported.
The group stated, "Fleury Michon maintains overall market share despite continued pressure on prices and stable sales of consumer products.”
