The Food Marketing Institute (FMI) has announced it will welcome food companies from across three continents to its FMI Connect event, which will be held in Chicago from 20 to 23 June.
FMI President and CEO, Leslie G. Sarasin commented, "From spicy Chinese hot pots to the fiery street-food scenes of Thailand and Mexico and the cooling sugar shacks of Canada, FMI Connect will delve into sensory food traditions and trends that influence the way US food companies do business now and in the future."
The Italian Trade Agency will have the largest presence of all the international pavilions, bringing with it 60 Italian companies to showcase ‘Authentic Italian’ food and wine.
"We’ve forged successful partnerships since our inaugural presence at FMI Connect in 2015, and ITA is proud to be the bridge connecting US retailers and food suppliers via the authentic taste and quality of Italy," Matteo Picariello, Trade Commissioner ITA (Chicago Office), commented.
FMI Connect will also reintroduce Connect Business Exchange (CBX) this year, a complimentary tool for all attendees that matches food retailers and suppliers for 30-minute, one-on-one business meetings.
Meanwhile, international audiences traveling to Chicago for the event can enhance their experience by attending both FMI Connect in Chicago and the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York, which begins just after the Chicago show ends.
