Registration is now open for Europe’s leading trade show for free-from and functional food and drinks.
Now in its sixth year, the Free From/Functional Food Expo heads north to Stockholm, Sweden, taking place on 16 and 17 May.
More than 4,000 top-level retail, foodservice and bio-chain buyers, importers and distribution channel decision-makers will come together to be inspired, network, source and select new free-from and functional food products from 275+ international exhibitors.
“The free-from sector continues to be one of the most dynamic – there is so much innovation coming through,” said Ronald Holman, exhibition director. “The show offers an unparalleled platform to discover the latest product innovations and what will be shaping the category in the future.”
Key Features
Events taking place at this year’s Free From/Functional Food Expo include an extensive two-day conference programme, featuring 55 specialist key speakers; dedicated Korean, Finnish and Irish pavilions; self-guided bespoke tours in the areas of free-from, ingredients, lactose- and dairy-free, and functional food; and a matchmaking event.
Exhibitors from more than 25 countries will showcase their diverse range of food and drink products, including gluten-free snacks and bakery solutions; vegan cheeses and chocolate; plant-based vegan proteins; lactose-free dairy alternatives; and organic and allergen-free products.
What’s Hot In Free-From?
Gluten-free is one of the most dynamic sectors in the free-from market, as consumers actively seek out products as part of a healthy lifestyle – it is no longer just for coeliacs. Health-conscious consumers are driving NPD focused on improving the nutritional profile of gluten-free products.
Elsewhere, to meet the ever-growing demand for products to support vegan diets, plant-based alternatives have exploded.
Find out all about these trends and more at Free From/Functional Food Expo 2018 in Stockholm on 16 and 17 May.
