The Free From/Functional Food Expo, Europe’s only dedicated free-from and functional food trade show and conference, takes place at RAI Amsterdam on 9 and 10 June.
A range of innovative new concepts and special events will take place at this year’s event. The organisers have added focused pavilions and a food-blogger convention, and co-located functional-food and ingredients zones, making this year’s expo the biggest in its four-year history.
More than 220 exhibitors are also lined up to take part this year, ensuring the widest range of free-from and functional-food specialty companies in one location. It is a must-attend event for anyone with an interest in this rapidly growing category.
This year’s show will host a packed conference line-up and the new European Food Blogger Convention – a nod to the growing influence that food bloggers have in the industry.
Among the speakers and experts participating in the conference theatre will be David Jago from Mintel, Hamish Renton of Hamish Renton Associates, Abigail Stevens from the Vegan Society, Kathryn Miller of Coeliac UK, José Roseboom from DSM Specialties, Joel Warady from Enjoy Life Foods, and Anette Almi, export manager at Leader Foods Oy.
The European Food Blogger Convention, a networking and know-how event for food and drink bloggers, will feature 25 key speakers, including award-winning blogger Carlijn Bröring and Instagram specialist Kristen Jassies.
Also new to the show this year will be a special Bord Bia (Irish Food Board) pavilion, featuring seven Irish food companies. With the demand for vegan and lactose-free also growing, there will be a Vegan Society pavilion and the Lactose-Free Theatre, with its own conference schedule.
