Frostkrone Acquires Abergavenny Fine Foods In The UK

  • Frostkrone Food Group has acquired the UK-based food company, Abergavenny Fine Foods Ltd.

    The acquisition will see Frostkrone Food Group expand its international presence and add an exciting and diverse finger food and snack selection expert to its product portfolio.

    Abergavenny Fine Foods Ltd is a market leader in the British retail and foodservice sector.

    The company is headquartered in South Wales and employs around 200 people.

    It offers finger foods such as Halloumi Fries, Jalapeño Poppers, Mac'n'Cheese Croquettes, Jaffa Cake Bites, and goat's cheese products.

    Against the backdrop of a hugely popular free-from segment, the company is riding high with its trendy product selections and well-thought-out recipes.

    Thanks to its state-of-the-art and highly competitive production lines in its plant in South Wales, the company has enjoyed significant commercial growth in recent years.

    Its customers represent reputable and internationally successful food and foodservice brands.

    The export markets for the company include Australia, Japan, and the USA.

    Jason Rees, managing director at the helm until now, will continue to run Abergavenny Fine Foods Ltd.

    Following the acquisition, Frostkrone Food Group now boasts seven locations worldwide.

    Elsewhere, Dr Christian Näther, founding partner of EMERAM, said, "The successful expansion of the Frostkrone Food Group confirms our positioning as a business development partner.

    "EMERAM enables sustainable growth with its expertise and capital strength. Since our investment in 2017, we have now been able to realise the fifth follow-up acquisition and achieve double-digit annual sales growth."

    Dervieux also announced that Bryson Craske, commercial director of Abergavenny Fine Food Co, will provide consultancy services to the Frostkrone Food Group in the area of export.
