Spanish biscuit maker Galletas Gullón saw its sales rise by 7% last year, following investment in internationalisation and innovation, the company said in a statement.
Galletas Gullón's turnover reached €306 million in 2015, almost €€20 million more than the previous year.
Investment in R&D during the year, including the launch of healthy products Vitalday and Devoracol, helped boost sales. In addition, sales outside of the Spanish market now account for 35% of the company's sales.
"The company's international expansion and the development of new products to take care of the health of consumers are the two pillars on which the company's future is based", said Juan Miguel Martínez Gabaldón, Galletas Gullón's managing director.
Despite the company's success, the biscuit market in Spain remains stagnant, with a 1% decrease in biscuit sales during the first part of 2015, according to IRI data.
