General Mills has named Sean Walker as the group president for its Asian and Latin American regions, effective 1 February 2019.
Walker will join the company’s global senior leadership team, and report to the chairman and chief executive officer, Jeff Harmening.
A Seasoned Professional
Walker was the senior vice-president for strategy in General Mills, and has been responsible for transitioning the Blue Buffalo Pet Food business into General Mills.
He has been with the company for 29 years, and gathered extensive experience in building businesses and organisations across different countries.
He served as the president of General Mills Latin America from 2009 to 2015. Before joining General Mills, Walker worked for the Hershey Company and Nestlé.
Walker will succeed Christina Law, who will be leaving General Mills at the end of February, next year.
General Mills is a leading global food company that manufactures brands like Cheerios, Annie's, Yoplait, Nature Valley, Häagen-Dazs, and Betty Crocker.
