The annual Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Conference kicks off in Barcelona today (29 March), with experts and business leaders coming together to discuss shared food safety challenges during the three day event.
Featuring the theme 'Delivering Impact for Safe Sustainable Food’, speakers on day one of the event will include Dirk van de Put, chairman and chief executive, Mondelēz International; Monique Pellegrino, vice president, chief food safety officer, Danone; Howard Popoola, vice president, corporate food technology and regulatory compliance, The Kroger Co; Leda Touliatou, global quality compliance manager, Nestlé; Ana Caroline Barbosa, food safety specialist, Coca-Cola Andina; Cliona Murphy, vice-president, global quality assurance, PepsiCo and many more.

Organised by The Consumer Goods Forum, this year's event will be the first in-person hosting of the GFSI Conference since 2020. This year's event will focus on advancing food safety best practice, encouraging partnerships across the industry, building trust and transparency with consumers, and showcasing leading innovations and technologies set to shape the future of food safety.
