Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has released two new episodes of its web series on the role of the Global Markets Programme in improving food safety for consumers across the world.
The web series, which has been running for the past three years, highlights how companies of different sizes across the globe have implemented GFSI's tools.
'Unlocking Business Growth'
GFSI director, Veronique Discours-Buhot, said, “GFSI’s Global Markets Programme is playing a vital part in unlocking business growth for companies situated across the world.
"Our Programme empowers companies of all sizes to accelerate their food safety journey, in alignment with GFSI’s goal to guarantee safe food for all consumers worldwide.”
The new episodes, made possible by Orkin - a subsidiary of Rollins Inc., were premiered exclusively at the GFSI Conference held between 25 to 28 February in Nice in France.
More than 1,000 top-tier food industry experts attended the event to address emerging challenges in food safety.
'Global Supply Chain'
Commenting on the partnership, Steve Leavitt, president of emerging opportunity group at Rollins, Inc., added, "At Orkin, we take food safety seriously and strive to advance our processes and solutions for the global supply chain.
"GFSI is critical to keeping industry leaders abreast of the latest developments in food safety science, technology, and collaborative tools being leveraged around the world."
In the new episodes, Rubén Bacon Morales of Asociaciones Agroindustriales Serranas and Sunday Bamikole of Plantation Industries Limited Akure have shared the story of how they implemented GFSI tools to improve food safety systems across their businesses.
In the case of Asociaciones Agroindustriales Serranas, the company was invited by Nestlé Mexico to participate in the programme.
Through the GFSI programme, both companies have driven supply chain growth, achieved certification, conducted hazard analysis, and built a robust food safety culture.
Their success highlights the role of the GFSI’s Global Markets Programme in unlocking new potential for business growth and optimisation across the food industry.
