Granoro has launched what has been described as Italy’s first 'short chain' wholemeal pasta, made with 100% Puglia wheat.
The Dedicato Integrale brand is made from 100% selected durum wheat grown in Puglia, naturally rich in fibres, which is produced using a special milling process that preserves the natural fragrance and the typical scent of ripe wheat.
It is available in six product references: Spaghettoni, Penne Birigate, Fusilli, Casarecce, Farfalle and Elicoidali.
Dedicato Integrale is part of Granoro’s Dedicato range, and is the latest product from the Puglia supply chain project launched by Granoro in 2012, which involves over 350 farms.
About 20,000 tonnes of high quality durum wheat are obtained per year, from which about 15,000 tons of pasta are produced.
The Granoro 'Dedicato' pasta was the first product to bear the collective regional brand 'Prodotti di Qualità di Puglia', and is traced and certified from the field to the table.
