For the third year running, Gruppo San Benedetto has been named the market leader in Italy in the non-alcoholic beverages category.
Last year, the group achieved a 15.8% share of the market in volume terms, which represented growth of 0.4% o the previous year.
The San Benedetto brand has consolidated its leadership in the Mineral Water (11% share), Ice Tea (30.4%) and Low Calorie Carbonated Soft Drinks (36.8%) categories.
In addition, its Energade brand is still the best-selling brand in the Sport Drinks category, with a 34.7% share in volume terms.
The group's performance was outlined by GlobalData, an international research and market consulting company.
Earlier this year, Gruppo San Benedetto was named as the company with the best reputation in the non-alcoholic beverages category, by the Reputation Institute.
With a presence in 100 countries and on five continents, Gruppo San Benedetto posted a consolidated turnover of €756 million last year.
The business operates across all non-alcoholic beverage segments, including mineral waters (San Benedetto, Antica Fonte della Salute, Acqua di Nepi, Guizza Pura di Roccia and Cutolo Rionero Fonte Atella); flavoured waters (Aquavitamin and San Benedetto Ice Formula Zero); fizzy drinks (San Benedetto and Schweppes); ice tea (San Benedetto and Guizza); products for children (San Benedetto Baby); sports drinks (Energade); tonic waters (Schweppes); flat drinks based on juice (Oasis and San Benedetto Succoso); and aperitifs (Ben's Ginger Spritz, and Schweppes).
