US-based Hormel Foods Corporation, the maker of Spam, has announced the forthcoming retirement of Jeffrey M. Ettinger from his position as board chairman.
Ettinger is set to retire on 20 November and will be replaced by Jim Snee, the curremt CEO and president of the company.

"We thank Jeff for his outstanding leadership of Hormel Foods”, said Snee "During Jeff's tenure, the company experienced significant growth and expansion through organic growth, strategic acquisitions, and a continued focus on new product innovation".
Hormel Foods has extended its reach over the past year by recently taking over the Ceratti brand, the third acquisition under Snee’s tenure as CEO, following the purchase of the Fontanini and Justin's brands.
Moreover, Hormel Foods recently highlighted its 357th consecutive quarterly dividend.
