Apulia-based pasta maker Pasta Divella has announced that it is extending its its export capabilities. The company is currently present in 112 countries worldwide.
The group, based in Rutigliano near Bari has 320 employees and posted €326 million worth of sales in 2016, 35% of which were derived from exports.
In 2017, the company intends to target in particular Asia and Africa, specifically Indonesia, Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Iran. It already has a presence in Kenya and Ethiopia.
While growing exports remains the main aim for the company next year, there will be also an investment of €15 million in Italy, towards mechanizing pasta production.
