Italian food company STAR has appointed Antonio Mariani as its new managing director for the domestic market, reports Distribuzione Moderna.
Mariani, 49, replaces Josep Barbena, who has been managing director for two years.
The new managing director will coordinate and optimise all operational and planning activities of the company, in order to help achieve GBfoods Group's performance goals. STAR is owned by GBfoods Group.
Experience In Marketing And Sales
Mariani has extensive experience in marketing and sales, having worked for major companies such as Danone Group and Mondelez.
He joined GBfoods Group in 2017, when he was appointed as chief marketing officer at the firm's Barcelona headquarters.
