Paper products giant Kimberly-Clark Corporation has named Giuseppina Buonfantino as its new chief marketing officer, reporting to Tony Palmer, the firm’s president of global brands and innovation.
Buonfantino was previously the president of Kimberly-Clark’s baby and child care business in North America, where she led the innovation, manufacturing and marketing of brands such as Huggies.
‘Tremendous Track Record’
She joined the company in 2011 as vice president of global adult and feminine care brands.
Commenting, Tony Palmer said, "Giusy has a tremendous track record in brand building, product innovation and customer development, and her insight on consumers has helped us to build our trusted brands across multiple categories.
"In the role of chief marketing officer, Giusy is well positioned to lead our global marketing organisation and drive enduring and profitable share growth."
Before working in Kimberly-Clark, Buonfantino worked with Johnson & Johnson for 18 years.
Kimberly-Clark recently reported better-than-expected first-quarter sales, helped by its personal care business, where it saw sales rose 5% to $4.73 billion in the quarter ended March 31.
