The Kimberly-Clark Corporation has been named as the top employer in the consumer packaged goods category in Forbes' list of America's Best Large Employers 2017.
The company, which produces brands such as Kleenex and Huggies, was ranked 48 overall in the list of top 500 employers across all industries, up from 147 last year.
"Kimberly-Clark offers an environment that welcomes original thinking, attracts and retains top talent, and inspires professionals to do their best work," said Scott Boston, senior vice president and chief human resources officer, Kimberly-Clark.
Forbes Survey
The annual Forbes list is compiled through an independent survey of 30,000 US employees across 25 industries. Employees were asked how likely they were to recommend their company to friends and family, and which organisations they would choose in addition to their own. The survey also looked at benefits, workplace diversity, career development opportunities and recognition of employee performance.
Costco Wholesale was ranked first overall by Forbes, followed by Google, and sports equipment store REI.
