Italy's La Linea Verde is an agro-food company specialising in the production of bagged salads and chilled, fresh, ready made soups.
Founded by the Battagliola brothers, Giuseppe and Domenico, the company with its headquarters in Manerbio near Milan, is a leader in the Italian market.
It boasts of 40 years of experience in agriculture and more than 25 years in fresh-cut foods.
The group manufactures products under its own umbrella brand - DimmidiSì, which is Italian for ‘tell me yes’.
It is a reliable co-packer for 60 International retailers’ brands in Italy and as well as other European countries.

The company recorded a turnover of €238million in 2017, and is the right partner for large-scale retailers.
It has 6 production sites in Italy, Spain and Serbia, 5 commercial offices spread across Italy, Spain, Serbia, Russia and France, and its own state-of-the-art greenhouses.
Production in La Linea Verde adheres to high standards of quality, with the company monitoring the entire supply chain, starting from seeding to delivery at the point of sale.
This process is complemented by a controlled and certified supply chain program, which allows for the product’s entire pathway to be traced.

It offers a range of products starting from bagged salads to prepared salads in a bowl, chilled fresh soups to broths, fresh mashed potatoes to fresh corn polentas, and fresh fruit smoothies to cold-pressed juices.

Market Leader
Presently, the company is the top producer of chilled soups in Italy with a market share of 50%.
In 2006 La Linea Verde was the first company to launch fresh soups in Italy, and since then it has always been the leader of a market worth €100 million.
A continuous investment in technology and its internal research and development team are considered to be the two main factors behind the success of the group
In recent years, the company has registered a remarkable increase in export activities with 30% of the Italian production now heading towards foreign shores. But the international outlook of the company is not intended only in terms of export.
Expansion Plans
In March 2018 La Linea Verde opened a commercial office in France, in Valence (Drôme) to establish new commercial relationships with French retailers. Moreover, at the end of 2017, the company acquired Naturvega, a production site in Spain specialising in fresh ready meals, sauces, deli salads, and sandwiches.
The company’s international expansion plan includes Eastern Europe. In 2017 La Linea Verde opened a production site for fresh-cut products in Serbia and a commercial office in Russia to supply to the Balkan States and Russia.
From 6 February 2019 to 8 February 2019, La Linea Verde’s managers will be present at the International F&V exhibition - Fruitlogistica.
The team will be looking forward to reinforcing their business relationships, by presenting the company’s original offer to International retailers in stand D-03 Hall 4.2.
