Ledo Hešteg Ice Cream Wins Gold In Barcelona

Croatian ice cream producer Ledo won gold for its 'Ledo Hešteg' ice cream and silver for its 'King Love' and new 'Ledo Lollipop' at the International Ice Cream Consortium (IICC) conference in Barcelona last week.

The new vanilla-and-orange flavoured Ledo Hešteg won the ‘2016 Best Commercial Solution Award’ for its concept of an easy-to-share ice cream (#icecreamtoshare). It has two 'legs' and a cut-out shape that helps it break easily.

In the ‘2016 Best Ice Cream’ category, the company won silver for King Love, which has a chocolate mousse structure and strawberry filling; the Ledo Lollipop, to be launched next year, won silver in the ‘Most Innovative Ice Cream’ category.

"The award for the best commercial solution, as well as two second prizes confirm our strong position as a leader both in the region and in the world. It is our goal to continue to be at the forefront of innovation on a global level and to listen to the wishes and needs of our consumers," said Dario Vrabec, CEO.
