Swiss chocolate-maker Lindt & Sprüngli has announced that group management member Andreas Pfluger has decided to retire.
Pfluger will leave the group by the end of December 2018.
His duties will be handed over to other members of the group management team.

Pfluger was associated with the company for 25 years and contributed majorly towards its success, the company said in a statement.
“On behalf of the board of directors, the group management and all employees, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Andreas Pfluger for his dedication, commitment and outstanding contributions for the success of the company during all these years and wish him all the best for the future,” said Dr Dieter Weisskopf, CEO of the Lindt & Sprüngli group.
In January of this year, Lindt & Sprüngli announced that it posted record sales of CHF 4.088 billion (€3.47 billion) in 2017. The company's net profit rose by 13%, to CHF 86 million (€75.2 million) in the first half of 2018.
