L’Oréal Adds Google Managing Director To Board Of Directors

L’Oréal has added Google managing director for the UK and Ireland, Eileen Naughton, to its board of directors as part of its online offensive, LSA-Conso.fr reports.

The announcement comes in the wake of growth figures for the French cosmetics multinational.

Christiane Kuehne and Louis Schweitzer have left the board of directors, which recently partook in the company’s seventy-sixth annual general meeting.

Nestlé Deutschland’s Béatrice Guillaume-Grabisch has also been headhunted successfully, and is now on the board as well.

L’Oréal CEO Jean-Paul Agon remarked in light of these appointments that “a significant part of the board still remains French.”

“I do not know if one day internet giants will be our competitors, but for now they are partners, because beauty, as an internet channel, is very important for e-commerce,” he added.
