Retailers are enjoying a boost in male grooming gift set sales this week to coincide with Father's Day being celebrated on June 19.
Savvy supermarkets planned well for the event by offering a good selection of reasonably-priced, quality pampering gift sets for men to retain a competitive advantage over the holiday.
"It is important that grocery retailers offer an adequate selection of mens' gift sets because less traditional holidays such as Father's Day are becoming increasing popular throughout Europe - retailers can keep up with the market and retain a competitive edge over rivals," says James Bell, marketing manager at personal care gift set manufacturer Badgequo.
Time-conscious shoppers are impressed by the convenience of being able to purchase competitively-priced personal care gift sets, showcased in attractive packaging, when carrying out their grocery shop in-store.
Badgequo's Man'Stuff male grooming range contains gift sets such as Tidy Whiskers, Close Shave, Washbag, Handy Manicure Set, Ultimate 6 Pack, The Man Drawer, and Keep It Clean. It is packaged well, cost effective and is constantly being expanded and updated.
The company supplies its gift and core ranges to Auchan, Monoprix, Eroski and Simply, Edeka, Kaufland Warenhandel, Globus SB-Warenhaus, WEKA Kaufhaus, Georg Kaes (V-Markt), Provera Cora, Maximo and others.
"Our gift offering has been incredibly well received by our customers with a very high sell-through rate."
As the gift market is incredibly competitive, retailers must realise the importance of ensuring that products are kept relevant and exciting without compromising quality. "When matched with a high standard of customer service, this is a winning formula," says Bell.
Badgequo also produces and distributes cosmetics and toiletries under its flagship brands Technic and Body Collection as well as a number of subsidiary brands to major retailers across Europe. The manufacturer also supplies an extensive range of private-label services to European supermarkets, hypermarkets and other retailers.
As well as its UK office, Badgequo also opened an office in Germany in 2011 to expand the company’s presence in Europe.
