Global food group Mars, Incorporated has announced the appointment of Ikdeep Singh as the new global president for its pet nutrition business.
The move also sees Singh become a member of Mars Petcare’s global leadership team.

Singh will be responsible for some of the world’s largest pet food brands including Pedigree, Whiskas, Sheba, and Cesar.
He will lead the strategy for growing the portfolio in over 50 global markets and ensuring access to Mars' products for almost 400 million pets that the group's pet nutrition business serves.
He will oversee a team of more than 18,000 employees around the world.
In August 2020, Singh joined Mars as the group's pet nutrition regional president for North America, the largest market for the pet nutrition business.
Under his leadership, the business saw its largest growth period due to a focus on digital transformation, prioritising innovation, and leveraging data, the company noted.
He focused on supporting employees with an inclusive work culture and building strategic partnerships with key customers.

Prior to joining Mars, Singh spent six years with the L’Oréal Group, where he served as president working across consumer products and luxury divisions in North America.
