Mars Chocolat France Grows 22% Over Five Years

Mars Chocolat France has grown 22% in value over the last five years, according to LSA-Conso.fr.

Since 2012, the Mars Inc. subsidiary has seen its command of the French confectionery sector grow by five percentage points ahead of the chocolate market, currently at +17%. During 2015 its sales growth retracted, however, by 0.2%.

Its sales over 2016 were spurred by the success of its M&M brand, as well as its 'Mini Cubes' range of leading chocolate brands Twix, Snickers and Mars.

The Mini Cubes series was released in October of last year, and contributed 15.8% to Mars Chocolat France’s gain in market share for last year’s final quarter on a like-for-like basis.

Online sales for the company were up 65%, with the personalised 'My M&Ms' proving a success, in particular over the Christmas period.
