British food group 2 Sisters has announced that Prys Morgan is re-joining the company as head of livestock procurement at Merthyr Tydfil.
Morgan returns after a two years working at the Welsh red meat promotional and marketing body Hybu Cig Cymru.
In addition to beef and lamb procurement for 2 Sisters' largest red meat plant, Prys will also be responsible for further developing the “in2grate” production system and other supply chain initiatives. The company manufactures private label products, as well as brands including Fox's, Goodfella's and Donegal Catch.
Driving Forward
“I see it as a challenging role but one where I believe there is an opportunity to advance and develop relationships with both suppliers and customers,” said Morgan, commenting on his return.
John Dracup, procurement director at 2 Sisters red meat, added, “Prys understands the sector and brings a wealth of knowledge that will beef up our procurement and agricultural teams".
“We want to further strengthen our relationships with our valued producers and Prys has the skills and experience to drive this forward."
