Diversified Communications UK has confirmed that this year's edition of the Natural & Organic Products Europe trade show has been deferred to 2022.
While an overwhelming majority of exhibitors and partners acknowledged the importance of the event, many felt it would be premature to run the show this year, with concerns surrounding visitor confidence and everyone's health and safety.
The organisers believe that the sector needs to focus on recovery, and businesses and retailers need time to get back on their feet.
They were also of the opinion that the show needs to get back into its annual April cycle, and an autumn event would disrupt that.
The next edition of the trade fair will take place on 3-4 April 2022 at ExCeL London.
Event director Carol Dunning commented, "We appreciate how integral Natural & Organic Products Europe is to the industry it serves and are very sorry to disappoint the thousands of attendees who were planning on exhibiting and visiting this year.
"The success and safety of our exhibitors, speakers and visitors have always been our priority, and I know everyone will get behind this tough but necessary decision."
The organisers also thanked its exhibitors, visitors, partners, and suppliers for their continued support and patience and said it looks forward to the next edition in 2022.
Meanwhile, the monthly Natural Products Meets webinar, scheduled on Friday, 16 April at 10.30 GMT, will feature Graham Keen from the HFMA.
Dunning will chat with Keen about the findings of the recent Health of the Nation Survey 2021: Lockdown Focus. To register, click here.
